Tn. Haji Abd Aziz Ariffin

Tn. Haji Abd Aziz Ariffin is a 65 year old RMP retiree who has served as an RMP police officer for 37 years 4 months and 27 days (1.7.68 to 27.11.2005).   His last post was as the Deputy  Director of Management (Administration) with a position as the Assistant Commissioner of Police. 

Since retiring on the 27th of November 2005, he has involved himself in  education and security sector.  Having experience as a lecturer in security at the Saito  College Petaling Jaya and appointed as the  Head of Advance and Professional Education at the same college.   he also has had a stint as the   Group Head of Security for  Malaysia Land (MAYLAND) Properties Sdn Bhd, headquartered in Hong Kong and ended his contract on the month of March 2014.

Now, he runs his own company Edu Kop Services Sdn Bhd that provides education services and perform collaboration with Kolej Unikop a tirtiery level college owned and operated by the  Koperasi Polis Di Raja Malaysia (RMP Cooperative). He is a part time lecturer at the Open University Malaysia (OUM)  and ha been appointed as the “Subject Matter Expert” in Security management since Mei 2010.

He attended various courses overseas including at the  “staff college” di Indonesia, on  ISO 9000 and Quality management  in South Korea  and on  drug threat in the USA.  He is also active in the  Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) since 2006 and currently is a committee member for the Safe City Initiative, Police Station Excellence Award and others. 

He is currently one of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Pengaman Malaysia.
