Tan Sri Mohd Najib Abdul Aziz

Tan Sri Mohd Najib Bin Abdul Aziz is  a retired Deputy Inspector General Of Police. he held the post from the 28th of September 2006 until the 12th of November 2007.

He was born in Sabak Bernam Selangor on the 13th of November  1950 and joined the RMP on the 11th of November  1969. During his services with the RMP, he has gained much experience in various fields including security, crime investigation, narcotics, traffic  investigation, national security planning and public order.

He obtained his B.Soc.Sc (Hons) from Universiti Sains Malaysia majoring in Political Science minoring in Economics.He also received a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Sciences from the National of Public Administration (INTAN).

He has attended varios courses and seminars including the "Narcotics Control and Prevention" in Tokyo Jepun and various other courses in  Isfahan Iran; Washington D.C New York, Los Angeles  dan Maryland USA; Santiago Chile; Montreal Canada; Perth Australia and ASEAN countries as well.

During his service in the RMP, he held various posts as follows; 

1. Director Narcotics Investigation Department.

2. Deputy Director  Intelligence/ Operations,Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID).

3. Chief of Police for the state of Kelantan.

4. District Police Chief for Manjung, Perak

5. Crime Research and Development Officer and served in various department including Admin,CID, and Trraffic.

Due to his excellent performance and service, he was bestowed with several awards as follows :

Federal Government Awards

1. Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) - Tan Sri

2. Johan Mangku Negara (JMN).

3. Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM).

State Awards

1. Dato' Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) - Dato'

2. Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) P.Pinang - Dato'

3. Paduka Mahkota Perak.

RMP Awards (DYMM Yang DiPertuan Agong).

1. Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis.

2 Panglima Setia Pasukan Polis.

Currently, he is the executive chairman of Syarikat Manjung Arms (M) Sdn. BHD. since 11th of March 2008; He is also the Chairman of Top Security (M) Sdn Bhd; Chairman for Commercial Circle (M) Sdn Bhd; Deputy President of Persatuan Mencegah Dadah Malaysia (PEMADAM) serve 14th of June 2009 and a committee member of International Federation of Non-Government Organisation (IFNGO).

He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for  Yayasan Pengaman Malaysia.
